2021 LNG Canada STEM Scholarships

LNG CANADA STEM SCHOLARSHIPS 

PURPOSE:  LNG Canada wishes to promote and encourage Grade 12 students to pursue their post-secondary education in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) fields, digitalization studies or trades fields.   The objective of the scholarship is that by providing four scholarships of twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) students will be encouraged to undertake and successfully complete their academic STEM courses, digitalization courses or trades training.  LNG Canada will advertise and promote the LNG Canada STEM scholarships via Social Media and print

The annual amount given by LNG Canada is ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) for four (4) scholarships of two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) each.   These funds are distributed to four (4) students in Kitimat.

FREE SKILLED TRADES WEBINAR FOR WOMEN

In this challenging time, we know that connecting your students with meaningful and inspiring content can be difficult, which is why we at The Prosperity ProjectTM and Ontario Power Generation are presenting an Educational Webinar Series focused on Women in Skilled Trades. Conceived by 62 female visionaries, The Prosperity Project is a new not-for-profit organization founded to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Canadian women who are being disproportionately affected. The Women in Skilled Trades webinar series introduces women and girls to career opportunities in skilled trades. The free webinars feature inspiring speakers and are open to students, educators and parents.

  • Our one-hour webinar will take place on April 28th at 12pm PT/3pm ET and May 5th at 4pm PT/ 7pm ET.
  • Speakers from different skilled trade specialties will share success stories, information and resources.
  • Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.
