Museum Program – Nature Sketch

Kitimat Museum & Archives presents Nature Sketch. Nature Sketch is an outdoor nature program for youth that focuses on connecting them to their community eco-systems using a pencil and a sketchbook. Sessions include supplies and will be led by a local sketch artist and a naturalist.
Funded through the Robert Bateman Foundation, these no-cost programs will run in June, 2021, and be open to two age groups: kids ages 8 to 12, and youth ages 13 to 18. The program consists of two sessions of 1.5 hours each. Register by emailing the Kitimat Museum & Archives at info@kitimatmuseum.ca
“The Bateman Foundation was established in 2012 and is a national public charity that uses art to connect Canadians to nature, minimizing the increased levels of depression and anxiety caused by nature deprivation and the ever-increasing prevalence of screens in our lives.” John Bateman
