2017 Ministry of Education Student Learning Survey (formerly called Satisfaction Survey)

Dear Parents/Guardians,

School District 82 is participating in the 2017 Ministry of Education Student Learning Survey (formerly called the Satisfaction Survey) in cooperation with other school districts throughout the Province of British Columbia. This survey has been administered annually in BC public schools since 2001.

The Ministry of Education is asking parents/guardians of Grade 7,10 and 12 students to complete the survey online any time before midnight on May 25th, 2017.

Please note that we have uploaded the Student Learning Survey 2017 link to our school district’s website.  The link is located under the “Quick Links” on the website’s main page for easy access for all participants.  We also provide the link as follows:

In the past, parents have been required to enter a logon code however, our school no longer requires this of our parents thereby allowing you to follow the instructions using the Direct (logon-free) Access.

Thank you for participating.

Warmest Regards,

G. Lawlor

Principal

RYLA South 2017

This year, Brodie Chartrand, Kaitlin Ferreira and Delaney Ribeiro were accepted to attend RYLA South in Gibsons, BC. They applied, went through an interview process and were carefully selected. RYLA is a 4 day leadership camp for students in Grades 10-12. The weekend consisted of workshops, team building activities, presentations from professional speakers and so much more! These three students got the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and learn new ones as well. Some skills include communication, public speaking, confidence and creativity. They made lots of new friends and are very thankful for the experience.
