Hi everyone, Grad is fast approaching!  Here are some upcoming dates in May:

May 2-May 6: This is the last week to sell raffle tickets!  All sold tickets, money and all unsold tickets must be returned to Bev Shaw at school by Friday May 6th.

• Dry Grad and Banquet decorations are on-going every Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 in old wing at MEMSS. Parent help is needed and welcomed :)
• Thursday May 19th is the next Meningitis vaccine, please pre pay at Save-on-more pharmacy
• Scavenger hunt and BBQ is so far not happening for the grads as parent volunteers are needed to organize the event
• Parent meeting for event sign-up and banquet ticket pick-up. Dates to be announced.

We would like to congratulate Zachary Dumas for his recent accomplishments in swimming. Zack attended Western Nations in Winnipeg and made top 8.

He also participated in Triple A Provincials where he received a Bronze Medal in 400 IM. This placed Zack 4^th in all of Canada for 16 year olds. Way to go Zack!

We would like to acknowledge Nicholas Ferguson and Melissa Yeoh for their success in several events at the Provincial Gymnastics Competition in Langley.  Nicholas took home gold for Vault and placed 8th for All Around.  Melissa took home gold in both Vault and Bars and silver for All Around. Congratulations!

We would like to acknowledge the middle school and high school bands for your participation and wonderful sounds at the Pacific Northwest Music Festival. We also want to thank Ms. Preyser for all her hard work and dedication.

The Middle School playing at a B200 level received a mark of ‘Excellent’ and the High School playing at a B400 level received a mark of ‘Superior plus’.

In addition, each band received an invitation to the invitation only National Festival “Music Fest Canada.”  This shows some hard working students!!
