A really exciting opportunity has come up, that we would like to share with MEMSS students in Grades 8 – 10.  Applications for the 4th Annual Ocean Science Symposium are now available! PLEASE SEE MR. SORENSON IF YOU ARE INTERESTED!

• Who: Students and educators in grades 8-10
• Where: University of Victoria
• When: April 29th/30th, 9:00am-4:00pm
• What: Two days of engaging presentations, hands-on activities and challenges to explore the mysteries of the deep blue

  • NOTE: To avoid any disappointment, please submit your applications sooner than later as attendees are selected on a first come first serve basis.                                                                         -There are potential funding opportunities available to cover travel and accomodation for two students and one teacher to attend the event from the Kitimat area.

There will be a Trades Meeting on Thursday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Mount Elizabeth Theatre for students in Grades 10, 11 and 12. There will be information on ACE-IT Programs. Come and check it out!!!

The RCMP Youth Academy is scheduled for the week of May 14th to May 21st.  This opportunity is available to Grade 11 and Grade 12 students interested in policing as a career.  Please see Mr. Dahler before Spring Break to pick up an application form.
