Zone01 ROBOTICS WORKSHOP-THANK YOU RIO TINTO

Last week several of our Middle School students along with two of our teachers, participated in a Zone01 Robotics Workshop. The workshop engaged participants in a two-day, hands on learning experience using Lego robotics kits which were generously donated by Rio Tinto. Mrs. Kim Wilkinson and Mr. Brady Conway, two teachers at Mount Elizabeth, have volunteered to sponsor a Robotics club for our Middle School students which enhances student learning in the area of STEM education (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). “When our students first opened up their kits and began assembling their robots, you could feel the excitement in the air. Students race to our club to work on their robot. It is so wonderful to see the intensity and concentration on their faces. We could not have made this possible without the generous donation from Rio Tinto. We cannot thank you enough for providing us with this unbelievable opportunity.” Kim Wilkinson This Robotics club is a very exciting opportunity for students to learn about robotics design, building, programming and even competition! We are very thankful to Rio Tinto. for their partnership and generous donation which has allowed us to offer this wonderful opportunity to our students.
